A poor inspection can lead to you having to complete a long and complicated list of repairs. This, along with the regular closing costs, can end up taking a big chunk out of your profit.

2. Repair Plumbing Problems

Problems with plumbing are another common issue, and unfortunately, they’re often one of the more expensive ones to repair.

Pipes that leak and cause water damage, failing or broken water heaters, and any sort of problem with the sewer can lead to thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Try to identify plumbing problems early to make sure they don’t get worse with time. 

3. Watch Out for Mold

Water damage from plumbing problems also encourages the growth of mold. Aside from holding you back from selling your home, it can also affect your health, so make sure to resolve the problem as fast as possible.

4. Check for Window and Door Issues

You wouldn’t want to buy any homes for sale if they came with window or door issues, so make sure that your’s don’t have any problems either.

Windows and doors that are difficult to open, have seals that are falling, or have broken panes are all issues that the home inspection service may identify and cite as a problem.

5. Resolve Any Electrical Problems 

Electrical problems can be a bit more difficult to identify than some of the other problems, especially since most wires are tucked away.

However, electrical panels with wiring issues, wiring that doesn’t meet code, and frayed wires are some of the most common issues that homeowners face.
